Do I have IBS?

I am 22 years old. Ever since I was 16, I've been getting some severe pain in my right side. I've had exploratory surgery and sonagrams, but they never can find out what is wrong. Though they did find one ovarian cyst, I took birth control and it went away but the pain never did. It isn't always constant, or at least I don't think so. I may just have gotten used to it since I've had it for so long. It always hurts more when I need to have a bowel movement and feels a little better after, though it doesn't go away. For over a week now, I've noticed it has been constant. Standing up helps to relieve it a bit, as well as repositioning myself when I lie down. Scrunching that side hurts more. I have noticed mucus in my stool, but never blood. For the past couple of days I have noticed some white things that look a bit like little seeds in my stool. Also, sometimes after having a bowel movement, my rectum aches a bit. Is all of this IBS or something else? I really don't want to have a colonoscopy, my mom had one and it was torture after she took that drink the day before. I never want to go through that if I don't have to. Any help will be appreciated.

You may want to watch the videos offered at this website on IBS, symptoms, and diagnosing. And then, go to a Board Certified Gastroenterologist (preferably a female who specializes in IBS).
