I have also recently started to avoid caffeine.  No soda and my coffee in the morning is half reg half decaf.  I still have to avoid other foods as well, but limitiing my caffeine intake has really helped me.  Not as much burning in my stomach and the bloating has gone down significantly.

I think that sometimes people have trouble digestive meat, like steak, they can be heavy on the system.  Also like caliston9 said, dairy can play a part with your digestive problems.  I can eat cheese and butter, but have loose movements the next day if i eat ice cream, whipped cream ( which i love), milk.  Also, you probably no longer eat any-thing greasy, fatty.  I cannot eat at any fast food places anymore, which i guess is a good thing because its bad for you anyways, my diet is strictly pasta with butter and cheese (parm), crackers, pretzels, sandwiches, ect.  which does not help with weight, but seems to be able to handle it.  no longer can eat fruit, salads, veggies.

Hope we have helped in some way, go gentle before you get worse.

Pizza could do that.  I find that not the same thing does upset me everytime.  If that makes sense.  Fried foods tend to upset me.  I go from constipation to the other extreme.  I take Bentyl and it slows the colon and helps with cramps. This can be serious - not so much in the gut but I have fainted 4 times with IBS.  Last time broke a cheek bone and damaged some teeth.  So take this seriously!

Sounds like IBS.  Dairy products can be very bad. Try lactose free milk, ice cream, etc.  I believe I would try a new doctor.  Also, fried foods seem to make mine worse.  I find eating an earlier dinner is better than going to bed with a full stomach.  Good luck.
