This is getting serious

I'm 14 years old, and I've been having serious side pains for about a year now. I've been to the doctor and they've done test but nothing shows up. These pains occur in both sides ( left and right ) in the lower areas. Sometimes, toward my back and near my chest. My doctor suggested that it was endometreosis ( spell ) and put me on birth control to see if it would help. But, I've been on it for almost 2 months and it hasn't done a thing. These pains are becoming more frequently, and their killing me. I've woken up crying over these. Sometimes, they get so bad my body locks up and I can't breathe for about 10 seconds. Can someone please help me?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

How are you? If flank pain is accompanied by fever, chills, blood in the urine, or frequent or urgent urination, then a kidney problem is the likely cause. Other differentials include: pyelonephritis, kidney stone or kidney abscess; spinal arthritis; disk disease and even muscle spasm. What tests were done? I would recommend that you drink plenty of fluids and have a regular follow-up with your doctor.

Take care and keep us posted.

I am going through the same thing. Some people say that I have endo and others think that I have something called polycystic kidney disease. I am still waiting for someone to figure it out but you may want to mention that to your doctor. Good Luck
