About SGOT n SGPT

Hi
my husband was experiencing some Weight loss so we did a liver function test and got GGTP as 475.0, SGOT as 63.6, SGPT as 159.0, alkaline phosphatase as 233.0, Total proteins as 8.80, Globulin as 4.47,
Please want  to know if the weight loss is as a result of the liver function test result? And please what's the very next step we should take?
thank you.

His data indicates some problems with his bile duct system. Whether this is an infection, gallstones, etc is a question only his doctor can answer. Let us know how things go, hopefully they can track things down quickly and resolve it. Take care.

Okay..but the bilirubin total is 0.66mg/dl, direct is 0.35mg/dl, indirect is 0.31mg/dl,which shows that they are all within range.yes it's while he is eating

... eating and the weight loss still happens? I assume his doctor will want to do an ultrasound ss well, to look for gallbladder issues, stones, etc.

Do you also have his bilirubin levels (total and direct)? His test results point to some type of cholestatic problem. Has he been nauseous as well causing the weight loss, or has he been eat
