High liver enzymes back after away for three years

Hi everyone:

On allopurinol for many years.
Had high enzymes in 2011 that went away within 6 months. Wasn't compliant with my allopurinol.
Started being complaint in 2015 and had liver tests every two weeks in 2016 until sept 2016. Maybe once or twice ALT just above 40 but every other test within range. Switched drs and went a year without tests.

This past september (2 months ago) gout doctor check up had me do liver tests. Elevated ALT and AST (90 and 50 say). Sent me to a liver doc. Started doing tests weekly  and they remain the same. Took me off allopurinol completely a few weeks ago and still elevated. Staying the same, no up or down.

Ultrasound report ok. FIbroscan report is a 6 (though my liver doc doesn't believe it).

So suggestion is to do a biopsy since its not clear what is causing the elevated enzymes. I'm confused since I had good readings from 2011 through 2016 [though until jan 2016 they weren't taken that much]

Any comments would be greatly appreciated. My other meds have been constant are are blood pressure medicines. Thanks.

Hi the first question people normally ask is if you drink. That can raise your ALT AST. Also medications can as well. I'm not familiar with the allopurinal. Have you looked in to side effects/  Do you drink water? It is very important to help keep your body flushed out. I would look up side effects of the allopurinal.
