Hi there,
Did you every find out the answer to your liver lesion? I am having the same thing. I am 24, had a CT for abdominal pain and weight loss, and they found a low density lesion on my upper lobe. The doctor has told me not to worry, and doesn't even suspect a follow up because it's so small. It's still scaring me, so I'd really like to hear someone else's experience. Thanks!
I had a similar experience almost 10 years ago. My liver enzymes were elevated but I had no other symptoms.
Further investigation revealed a 3.0cm lesion on the upper lobe.
I was told it was nothing, but I suspected more.
I insisted on a followup consultation with the doctor, after which a biopsy was performed. It was determined that the lesion was not malignant, but it WAS in transition to malignancy.
I wound up getting an RF Ablation to remove the lesion. (that's surgery done whereby microwave radiation is used to destroy the tumor without using a scalpel or incision)
Now, every six months, I have an MRI to insure the lesion is not returning and that no more are present.
Had I not followed up on this myself, I would not be alive today.
If you think something is wrong, DEMAND further investigation.
You know your own body better than anyone else does.
Don't just take the word of a doctor if you think it's not accurate.
Be SURE. You may only have ONE CHANCE to get it right.
Good luck.
