Mono + Alcohol = Liver pain?

I was recently diagnosed with mono two months ago.  Ive been drinking moderately for a couple weekends even though i know they told me not to.  So this weekend this was a real good party and i had a decent amount to drink but it was well spread out.  The next day i felt a slight pain in my lower right abdomen, along with a slight one near my ribs on the right side.  I figured i may have done some liver damage?  A day has went by and i starting taking GNC liver support just to be safe, but i think it has gotten slightly better.  Any suggestions, how long should i rest before drinking again, the actually date i was supposed to wait til was Feb 10.  Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

Just another quick question, would it be alright to do physical activity even with slight discomfort in the liver such as working out, jogging, and skiing?  I looked it up online and to all i could find said it was good to do physical activity, just wanted to check with you guys.

I would not drink until my blood work was back to normal and then I would be very careful about drinking too much at once. I had Hep B when I was a kid (came and went in one month) and it never became chronic. My liver did, however, become much more sensitive then I'd ever know. If you toy with alcohol after having a liver issue, you can pretty much bet on getting the short stick when it comes to having a healthy liver. I have full on cirrhosis after being just a wussy wine drinker for 5 years, so I hope that helps in keeping you away at least until doctors ok it!

Take care and cheers to a shot of orange juice!
