Do these CT results need further looking into?

I am a 30 yr old female. On a recent CT scan for pelvic pain, in which the doctors also decided to do an abdominal scan, the radiologist noted the following:

Liver within upper limits of normal measuring 17cm.
Main portal vein up to 1.5cm, borderline prominent, possibly indicating portal venous hypertension, but with no collaterization varices seen
Mildly enlarged spleen measuring 12.5cm SI and 9 x 5.5cm TRV. No spinal mass seen. Splenic vein patent.

I have had no symptoms relating to my spleen or liver. The CT results listed no further workup related to these findings. Are they something that I should be concerned about?

Hi there! If I were you I would take your results to a liver specialist to try to find out what is going on.  It sounds as if your liver is inflamed.  Alcohol can do this as can medication however with your spleen enlarged and your portal vein involved, I would go as soon as you are able.
Have you had any blood work done recently?  If so, I would take those with me as well as the report.
Pleas let us know how you are doing, Dee

Hi, my liver showed up as being slightly large on a ultrasound that I had last year as well and the gastroenterologist at the time mentioned that it wasn't anything that concerned him and that some people just naturally have it ....I don't recall if the spleen also read as enlarged, but I should check those records.

I did have blood work done at the time of the CT and it all came back normal.

I drink alcohol very sparingly, so I doubt that is the root of this.

Thank you for your response!
