You need to talk to your doc, but standard water retention pills, low sodium diet and avoid hard to digest foods will help. As for sleep, try not to do busy stuff just before bed and eat a good dinner but not too many fluids to sleep...if all else fails, I take anti-anxiety meds, low-dose, that help tremendously and try to get exercise and movement so i'll be tired at night. Good luck!
Any remedies that are safe for which condition?
Insomnia? Ascities? Do you have hep C? Have you had a liver biopsy? If so what is the condition of your liver?
That being said insomnia mdications would depend alot on how well your liver is doing.
Yes there are medications for ascities that are safe but no medicine is totally without side effects.
Yes there are medicines available now and others coming soon that are having great success in treating hepatitis c with minimal side effects for many patients. Notably Sovaldi and coming soon Sovaldi /Ledipasvir single pill combo.
However the correct treatment regime for you can only be determined by your treating physician preferably a hepatologist. The decision is based on your genotype, severity of any liver damage, and any prior treatments you may have had.
Good luck
