it is said in many places at internet to avoid egg folks but here it was suggested to eat egg folks since they contain lecithin! I am totally confused!
what is the truth about egg folks: people with fatty liver problem shoul eat them or not???
Hi 5man, Lots of folks have fatty liver now days so you're not alone.
Fatty liver usually doesn't cause serious problems unless the fat starts to oxidize which can cause inflammation to develop. Vitamin-E is the bodies best tool to keep lipid peroxidation in check and a recent study showed vitamin-E works better than any medicine at stopping disease processes that occur with fatty liver. Google: fatty liver and vitamin-E, and look for the many reports on this study. The dose they used was 800IU/day. Natural vitamin-E is best and it should say natural on the label if it is in fact the natural form.
Lecithin (phosphatidylcholine) is another liver supplement that helps the liver move fats around in the body and put them to use as fuel. Choline is your livers favorite nutrient and Lecithin is the best way to give your liver the choline it needs. Eggs also contain a lot of lecithin. Google: Choline and Fatty Liver, to read more on this.
If you're under a doctors care, you should ask him/her about any supplements you might consider trying, but both vitamin-E and Lecithin are fairly benign supplements and your doctor shouldn't have a problem with you trying these.
Best of luck to you, and stay healthy!
