Lyme disease treatment

I was bitten by two ticks about two weeks ago. Yesterday I noticed my leg had swollen and today I had them removed.
I was given oxacillin, piroxicam and metamizole, for about a week.
My question is whether oxacillin is right, given that the recommended treatment is doxycycline. Also, how can I know if I'm cured? A western blot test?

Thanks

I also tested positive and was put on doxy for a month, pretty strong strength.  However I don't think it cures it, I know some people say that chronic lyme is hogwash.  Can anyone shed light on that, is there truly post lyme?

It can work that way here too.  I had doctors tell me there is no such thing as lyme here.

Welcome.  My doctor would not prescribe doxy during the summer months due to the sunburn possibility.  I would talk to your doctor and ask why each med was ordered.

It takes several weeks for the body to produce antibodies to lyme so a test now probably would not show anything.  It may never show anything with early treatment.
