I never missed any work at the time of my diagnosis, however I went to work just about every day sick....takes a toll on you that's for sure. Now I am dealing with this insomnia stuff, stiffness, tingling....just doesn't ever seem to go away.
I had to quit working back in May because I was so sick. I'm about six weeks into treatment as well. Although I don't work outside the home I'm still super busy in home as I have two small children and I never get rest. It's so hard. My oldest (5) starts school in a week so that will be helpful. I'm also looking into putting my youngest into part time nursery so I can get a chance to recooperate and rest. I'm always SO tired and with two kids I'm constantly on the go even when all I want to do is sleep.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
Thanks for your support and insight.

I've worked throughout my treatment--sorta. I've been part time for all of 2009.
Work both anchors me to something other than this illness, and also causes a lot of stress and impedance to healing, as patsy10 notes.
Hopefully, you'll be able to handle your work. People here understand why this is a major source of anxiety. Good luck & keep us posted.
Being sick and working is very hard. I have worked the entire time of this illness. I believe the stress of working is what has kept me from recovering more.
