Oh and my ELISA test was NEGATIVE in the first 10 bands so they stopped testing the rest.
I was put on antibiotics. Omnicef and Levaquin. They seem to be helping some. Especially with keep me out of the hospital for shock-like symptoms.
Any input would be helpful thank you

Any input? Can this be anything else that would show like Lymes thats not. Specialist diagnosed as Chronic Lymes Disease. My primary doctor says he doesnt agree and still trying to send me out to Neurologists and next week I see a Endocrinologist for symptoms that appear as adrenal problems
I know, right?? Funny since it doesn't exist in my state. I still couldn't get a Dr. to treat me here. My neuro yelled at me that I couldn't have lyme.
I accidentally did the antibiotic challenge before testing. An urgent care doctor could see that I was sick, running a fever and had abnormal sinus mucosal thickening and gave me an antibiotic. Everyone else had just cared about the neuro exam and my MRI for the previous 6 months.
wughead
My LLMD would say that you have lyme specific bands and if you were having symptoms of lyme disease, he would treat you. He says that antibiotics help like 97% of people with specific bands for lyme with symptoms. Do you have a lot of neurological symptoms??
ELISA neg
IgM 41+
IgG 23-25 IND
31 ++++
34 +
41 IND
How would others interpret this??????
WOW! YOur IgM is really postive.
My ELISA was negative, My spinal fluid was negative
I haven't ever tested for co-infections
IgeneX WB testing:
3/08 CDC Positive
IgM 18++ 23-25IND 31++++ 34++ 39+ 41+++ 58+ 83-93+
CDC Negative
IgG 31IND 39IND 41+++ 58+ 66+
I was negative twice on ELISA. My spinal fluid was negative.
My IgeneX western blot was IgG 39+ 41+++, IgM 41+.
All other bands were negative, no IND bands.
I have a Fry labs blood smear that showed moderate Bartonella.
I've never had a positive ELISA. My WB IgM 30+, 39 IND, 41 IND. My doctor was only interested in the IgM.
Dr. Burrascano's treatment guidelines are in the Health pages here.
I recently got my ELISA results back. It was considered negative. According to the results I had 0.68 LIV and needed 0.99 LIV to be considered positive. My Rheum ordered the test so that only if I were positive on my ELISA then I would get a Western blot test. I did not know a doctor could order the Western blot first and then ELISA.
