I have had or currently have several of the pictures posted.
Went to the web site, wow! that's interesting. I get ocular migraines. It's a migraine without pain that creates a visual aura. Part of what your looking at is distorted. Like looking through a prism. I never associated this with my Lyme but who knows. If i take an aspirin it goes away pretty quickly.
I've had a number of visual disturbances, including floaters, pain, phosphenes, and diplopia. An optometrist, ophthalmologist, and a neuro-ophthalmologist all failed to come up with any explanation.
I think all of my eye problems are Lyme related. Many patients have eye involvement, something I didn't know when these problems emerged in me.
My eyes are better now (8 months into treatment and counting), but I still always get the flashing lights when I move my eyes and occasionally more.
If you haven't had an eye exam with dilation, get one done. I only blame Lyme for issues for which other causes have been reasonably ruled out.
Some people with Lyme even hallucinate. I'm not in the club (I don't think, anyway!). The author of "The Joy Luck Club," Amy Tan, has shared this aspect of her experience with Lyme.
