Lymph Nodes..

Since the beginning of this my inner thighs ache and I feel it is radiating from my lymph nodes in my groin area.  Also my groin area is occasionaly sore on each side.  My armpits also feel randomly sore or achy.  However when I feel the area it doesn't feel swollen or enlarged.  I know that swollen or sore lymph nodes are a sign of infection.  Is this common in Lyme and does anyone else experince this?  It has been a LONG day...
  Thanks for your support.

I have swelling at the right side of my neck [the bottom near collar bone] I think the left side is slighty swollen too.  It is causing me 'anxiety' [more than usual !]

I don't know if it is lymph node - G.P. thinks not - I am having an 'ultra sound scan' monday week.  [no one seems to rush these things do they[

I never noticed it untill I was ironing one day and the area started hurting -

I have had results of 'blood tests' today for 'full blood count / liver function / electrolytes - etc; etc; - they were all normal- which is good news.

the other thing is I never had any swellings - untill I started abx. - for chest infection following flu episode - the worst flu I have ever had - infact probably the only 'flu' I have ever had.

those abx. were 'amoxicillin'. I am now taking 'Doxy' for lyme.

I also get the "achiness" in my underarms and groin. I will occassionally have a tender superficial, red nodule uner the arm, but have not felt any in my groin.

It is just a general achy, "inflammed" feeling for me. It only lasts a couple of days at a time.

This started a few months into treating the Lyme, so my doctor has started to treat me for Bartonella. My tests showed a low number of possible Bart. We also repeated the tests for Bartonella.

Doesnt' really hurt when I touch the area.   They are just occasionally painful or achy.

I think it means the same thing.  They shouldn't be painful.  Mine feel like little, hard peas and are very sore.  Usually from infection.  The lymph system helps protect us by fighting infection.

I have a friend who has several enlarged lymph nodes.  She even had them biopsied but the results did not show anything .  She was diagnosed with lyme, received IV Rocephin twice and had no improvement. So now her doctor told her he really is unsure of her diagnosis.

If they aren't swollen and just painful what does this mean?  It would have to be from infection such as lyme right?

Yes it is common in lyme.  The groin lymph nodes are easily palpated so you can feel if they are swollen.  I don't have swollen nodes there but I get them on my chest, ribs etc..
