I knew it was too good to be true..

I had had several good days... felt really well for the most part.  Today I've hit rock bottom again.  I feel SO weak and tired, dizzy, and twitchy. I feel like my body is made of lead.   Kind of jittery feeling.  Just plain horrible.  I've tried to sleep, but can't..  This disease is SO frustrating and I'm so sick of it.

Has anyone ever had the feeling that hot liquid is running out of your eyes?  This sounds strange, but I've had this a couple of times and it feels like my eyes are burning or has something burning coming out.

Feeling frustrated, sick, and bummed.

So sorry!  No, I haven't had the eye symptom, but hitting bottom again is part of the deal.  It feels awful and sometimes hopeless, but it's the bugs messing with your body and your mind both:  the body feels awful and the mind believes the body will never stop feeling awful.

Well, you will feel better again.  We all do.  Do you know the saying, "When you're up to you a** in alligators, it's hard to remember your objective was to drain the swamp"?  Same thing.  The misery of the moment diverts the hope and good intentions of the mind.

I sometimes give myself 2 days or 3 days to feel miserable, or at least no worse, and that if I'm not feeling better at that point, then I call the dr.  It's always gotten better in that time frame -- and then I say, 'Ah, it was a Herx.'

But if I get a new miserable symptom, or one that is very worrisome, I call/fax the dr's office.  Have you been to an ophthalmologist (eye MD)?  Lyme can affect eyes directly, and my ophth. was very glad I came to see him after I was diagnosed, just so he can keep an 'eye' on things.  Of all my MDs except my LLMD, the ophth has been the most supportive, tho I don't have much reason to interact with him.

Take care, hope you feel better soon.

It's all part of it.  It will pass again and you will feel better.  Yes on the eye question.  Plus feelings of needles in my eyes and more....I've had it all.

Hi.
this sounds all to familiar to me. I just had a bought of the Yuks with pain, twitiching, burning, etc.

It's the lyme messing with you and the antibiotics. My doctor said it's like the good vs: evil in your body. Theses are herxs and my doctor and his staff said the pain is awful but the meds are ridding your body of the bacteria.

We have all been there as from what I understand it takes 4-8 weeks of hell for the meds to start kicking in and then actually four months before feeling somewhat better. The herxs are like a druggy going through de-tox.

Hang in there we all know how you feel. It gets better. Janice
