Good news [ in a 'crazy' sort of way! ] - I hope you can start getting some relief soon - the LLMD sounds like a good one - I think I would wait for LLMD's opinion/treatment - as it's not that long to your appointment.
Best wishes

Welcome!!! I am glad you finally received a diagnosis. I am also in bad joint pain, know where you are coming from. I was sick for a couple of months, kept going to the Dr. finally a friend of mine told me to ask the Dr to run the test for Lyme, BB came back positive along with three reactive Bands. I don't know if I should see a LLMD? Had very bad neck pain for two months..went to therapy for that. Now it seems like it's my joints. Let us know what the LLMD has to say, I may need to find one here in Chgo.
Thanks and welcome!!
I was tested by Quest and the BB was positive with three reactive bands. I am so in need of help I am also in a lot of joint pain. I was on doxy for a month, but I don't think that did the trick. Should I find the LLMD in my area. I am worried if I don't do anything I am going to get worse. It's been two years now that I was diagnosed with Lyme. I already have seen a rheumi Dr for my neck problems a few months ago, went to therapy for about two months. This is terrible.
Your thoughts are appreciated.

Congrats on finding an answer! I bet it is a bit relieving. I haven't been dx'd yet. I also had the WB done by Quest and had reactive bands are 30 and 41, but Overall NEG. I am retesting with Igenex.
What were your symptoms you battled with for the last 8 years? Do you remember a tick bite?
I am curious if anyone knows why some people test fine by standard labs and others not? Does it have to do with how bad the infection is or is it just how strong of antibodies your body is producing? Do the ones that get positive by standard labs more likely to really have lyme?
Anyways bncrump, Let us know how everything goes.
Welcome. I'm very glad you finally got a diagnosis. And WOW!! a positive test from a standard lab. Now you can look forward to getting your life back once you get treatment.
