Tested Postive for Lyme - What to expect?

Hi,

I pulled a tick off my body on Easter (3.23.08); it was discovered about 5 hours after being in a garden field. No rash, fever, or symptoms of any kind. A blood test performed 2 weeks later came back negative for Lyme.  In the interim I started having a feeling of tightness in the finger joints in both hands, a feeling totally foreign to me.  A second blood test on 6.3.08 came back positive for Lyme.  I’m am currently on Cefdiner 300mg x 2/day for 3-4 weeks.  I have never had this disease before.  With this drug regiment will the stiffness disappear and the Lyme be cured?  Some of the feedback in this forum is opening my eyes to some dire consequences. There are two treatments that are helping people who still had symptoms of lyme disease after being treated by the conventional methods. The first is Dr. David Jernigan's protocol. Good Luck.  I pulled 2 attached ticks off my scalp last week.  They were the size you described above.  I believe mine were dog ticks.

Unfortunately, the tick was flushed down the toliet before I had time to recommend saving it.  It was not the tiny, period at the end of a sentence size, nor was it a large dog type tick, it was about 2-3 mm or so. I'll look into the site you recommended. Thanks.

You may want to post this at lymenet dot org and you will probably get plenty of feedback.  It's  hard to say if you will be cured.  My neighbor had it for approximately 3 months before she was diagnosed.  I think she was completely cured after 3 months.  Everyone's body responds differently.  Do you know what kind of tick it was?
