Venting

Hey All~

I'm having a bad, sad day. I feel somewhat ok but the financial piece is starting to hit me. Everything comes at once. I'm a single mom who pays for everything herself. I have medical bills out the A_______________.

I have a part time job tutoring but of course it helps but it doesn't put a dent in the medical bills. I'm hoping to go back to work Oct 1st which will help a great deal. My job is a special ed teacher and quite easy and my co-workers are really supportive and a great bunch of people.

How do all of you cope with all the things associated with lyme? I mean the med costs, feeling like ________, other medical issues that go along with this. I've developed a pinched nerve and that makes me think what next??? I'm not to worried but just think what else can go wrong?? My doctor authorized some physical therapy which should help.

I've tried to find support groups in my area. I found two but no one every responded to my email.

I almost thought of asking my lyme doctor to help form a support group via is office. I know people would love that. I know it would help me.

Well all~thanks for letting me vent. I feel better, relieved knowing others go through the same thing.

HUGS to all that it need it today including myself. JKV

It's just a bad day - that's the thing you need to keep in mind.  It's temporary.  I don't know if you have researched statewide drug programs.  My LLMD gave me a list and you qualify if your income is at a certain level.  Support groups can be a mixed blessing:  you make some friends that support you and then you may make some friends that take more than they give (their illness is worse than yours, etcc).  Think of that aspect.  All in all, this forum is somewhat better than my support group because its available all the time and somewhat anonymous unless you want to identify yourself.

Vent all you like, as we all have bad days and vent here.  I hope you feel better soon!

I can't really offer any advice but certainly know where you are coming from.  This kind of illness can be a very lonely place to be. Vent as much as you need.
