I've had that symptom but it could me any number of things.
Re shoulder: I never had the painful/tingly nerve symptom in my neck/back/shoulder blade until recently, but I was also taking some supplements that may have contributed to it. Hard to say what exactly is Lyme related and what is not, but ....
===> Don't start thinking that you are a hypochondriac! <===
This is a real illness with many variable symptoms, and I would gently urge you to examine anything and everything you feel and think it through carefully before discarding the occurrence as hypochondria. Anxiety is a real symptom of Lyme, since the bugs affect the brain and endocrine system, and it's a matter of recognizing the anxiety and categorizing it as a symptom -- I find once I do that, the 'extra' anxiety of being simply scared and upset tends to go away, and I can see more clearly what is actually part of the Lyme and not me just worrying (tho I allow myself to do that too sometimes).
Glad your Herx was not so bad this past time. Taking improvement where we can find it! Hang tough. :)
Hey Jackie,
thanks for the insight. I need to relax and not be such a hypochondriac.
I sometimes feel when things are under control, something else pops up and makes me nuts and wonder.....now what.
Although on a brighter note...my herx yesterday wasn't as bad as last month and only lasted a half day. Today I feel so much better except for the shoulder issue. I went to the gym last week and that's where I probably injured it.

I have not had much of that, but lately there is one place leading down the back of my neck to my shoulder blade, and it feels exactly as you say -- shooting and burning pain.
Others here have reported similar sensations.
