I suspect there's something going on with the nooks and crannies of our brains and neurological systems -- such nice hiding places for Lyme bugs.
Ringing ears is common, and headaches, neck crackles, warped vision, and other symptoms all speak to a neurologic infection, I would think. And sinus are cozy, dark places for the bugs to nap and frolic, so why not there too?
From my own experience and reading comments of others, it sounds like we all get slightly different symptoms body-wide, and what happens in the head is no different.
I had substantial relief from neuro symptoms while on medication and am about to go back on (after a drug reaction), and look forward to remission yet again.
Bottom line: you're not alone with these problems, but probably only an LLMD could understand.
Never think you are asking too many questions. This is what this Forum is here for, so we can all relate to one another and lean on shoulders of other lymies because every knows what others think of lymies. It's hard to discuss this disease to the public. People are so skeptical of it. Thanks to our health systems.
I have BRUTAL ear problems. I have sever sinus problems as well.
My ears Buzz, Ring, Plug Up, sound as though water is wooshing inside of them, they pop, they crack and out of no where start hurting.
I never thought that my ear or sinus problems would be related to lyme.. i guess my 2 ENT's, my 2 family doctors and numerous walk-in doctors didn't either.
The sinuses and ears can both become congested with colds and other URI infections. So your ear stuffiness could be related to your colds.
I can't speak for others but my ear symptoms are popping, ringing and rarely, hearing swooshing sounds. Other than the popping, mostly when I swallow, ear stuffiness is usually related to having a cold or allergies for me.
