I have a question for all of you that have been on meds/treatment for a few months or so.

All of you on the long term meds were your meds prescribed by a lyme specialist or by your primary?

I'm asking becasue it seems that most primary doctors will only treat lyme with a short duration of antibiotics.

Thanks for the feedback, maybe that's what I need to do, although I had some recent testing and it came back negative now.

I pushed my primary to see an infectous disease dr and I am very thankful to have some of my life back and to stop the damage caused by lymes disease.  I was on meds for 8 months.

I was only on doxy by my primary dr. for like 21 days, I need to go on again, not feeling well..not sure if my primary will put me back on. I really think positive lymies need to go on meds for a lot longer than that.  I am experiencing bad leg pain, numbness and sleeping issues.

my LLMD. diagnosed [on symptoms only] me - and prescribed antibiotics.

By a lyme doctor first.  Then by a fibro specialist.
