Before I was diagnosed, I kept a symptom journal due to my poor memory, otherwise I would draw a total blank when a doctor said "So tell me how you've been feeling."
However if I pulled out my thick notebook, whatever dr I was seeing would inevitably sigh and hand it back to me unread, because s/hey doesn't have the time to read it. It's a problem, because if Lyme is messing with your memory, "Tell me what's been happening with you" doesn't get a useful response.
I had to keep the notes for my own orientation and sanity, but I soon learned to boil them down to some short bullet points to take with me to an appointment so I would have something to jog my own memory when trying to tell my story in the 3.5 minutes allotted. It helped to do that, and I actually still do it.
For the last few days I have felt Horrible again, I seem to be aching,my legs and feet even especially when I first get upin the morning, , I am hobbling on my left foot, the rashes are worse and I just feel out of it./anxious / irritable. are these familiar to you guys ..
I always say to myself I should keep a journal on this and I never do. I really should though. Maybe the doctors would have an easier time understanding me.
A journal is a good way to keep track of symptoms. I know many people do this at home. This way you can look back and see how you are progressing. Particularly if you are in treatment.
