Perimenopause???

Hi everyone - love this forum - awesome information!

I am a healthy 34 yr. old mother of 2 (my youngest is 10).  I began menstrating just after my 9th birthday.  I have been having the following symptoms:  lightheadedness (sometimes it lasts for days), feeling jittery or nervous, mood swings, chills, nausea, change in appetite and bowel habits, irregular periods (still monthly though).....that's the majority of it.  It had not even occurred to me that it could be perimenopause until a few weeks ago.  I went for blood work yesterday so I won't hear results until next week.

I have made some changes such as changing to decaf coffee (and only drinking a fraction of what I used to), trying to eat healthy, etc.  I would like some suggestions to help with the lightheadedness and jitteryness/nervousness though as these can be hard to deal with as many of you already know!

I have same symptoms + anxiety since Oct 2007. I'm 49 regular periods every 3-4 months I get bad bleeding, then I get the symptoms with anxiety and will be ill for days!
Thyroid & hormones came back normal. I stopped drinking caffeine as well, but still get these spells every 3 -4 months.
Researching my problems I now understand that perimenopause can start anytime, really and often start in your mid to late 30 is.
I hope you can find the answer, but you are probably right and it is Perimenopause.
Be good to yourself  :)

I didn't think to ask him to check it however the lab tech asked if I was on thyroid medication so I think that he may have checked it off on the requistion.  Thanks for the idea :)
