menopause

How do I know when I'm coming into this?  My periods slowly moved from every 4- 5 weeks to about every 3 weeks.  Last time though I had about 7 weeks in between (great!)  They are lighter too, only last about 3 -4 days instead of the 7 - 8 they used to be.  I am 50 and have 6 kids.  I did mention to my doctor about the time between periods being shorter now and she examined me and said there were no suspicious things going on inside.  Any advice, anyone?

Hi, thanks for your input.  I don't really have any other things, apart from skipped heartbeats which have gone on for years.  Will check out the Lupus idea, thanks!

My mom had the same problem. You should ask your family Dr about Lupus.I have a couple of questions do u have joint pain or rashes on ur skin? Or di u have any problems with ur main organs like York lungs, kidneys, or your heart.
