Hi,
I was diagnosed as having low testosterone in 2003 after having seen a urologist due to problems with ED. I was referred to this urologist as a part of sexual health while I was in a clinic for neurological problems. Besides the ED I have a neurogenic bladder as well.
This urologist prescribed monthly injections of Delatestryl of 1 ml. a month. Even with that the ED did not get resolved and the urologist tried the following while in his office.
I was injected in the penis with California Tri-mix and was monitored for several minutes. After about 15 minutes an erection started, it was my first since 1998. After 5 more minutes he checked me again and at that time determined that the erection was strong enough for penetration. Due to the severity of my ED he prescribed a double strength of the California Tri-mix.
Prior to having been seen by this urologist, I used to come down with either kidney, bladder infections epididymitis and orchitis about every 3 to 4 moths requiring a week hospitalization. In 2000 after a staph infection, I had a left orchiectomy. Due to the loss of the left testicle as well as repeated infections in the right it is likely that the production of testosterone was drastically reduced.
Since I have been on the monthly injections my energy levels have been better as well.
I don't drink any alcohol so I don;t know about that.
You might want to inquire about Caverject or California tri-mix with your urologist.
all the best.
Ron
Hi,
Here is a link for you to refer regarding aromatase and estron conversion process involved in producing estrogen in men:
http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1046/j.1365-2265.2003.01669.x/abstract
Download the full article and read whatever is relevant to you. Do you have more belly fat due to beer?, if so, it can be a source for testo to estrogen conversion. By the way, all is not wrong with estrogen, some desired level is required for the body.

Thank you very much for your response. I started exercising two months ago and running 3 miles on most days. The last couple of weeks I have cut my beer down to 2-4 a day and have plans to further reduce.
I have read about aromatase inhibitors and was curious to know if they make a significant improvement. I feel like I will never be normal and just need a little hope. Has anyone here had any experience with this type of drug? Do you know what could be causing this high level of Aromatase? I would like to be able to tell my girlfriend that I have a medical problem and that this is not her fault. However I am a little embarrassed telling her that I have the estrogen levels of a menstruating woman and the testosterone of a 90 year old man with out having a reason for this,(i.e.: brain tumor). Thanks - M
Hi,
Mostly your doctor will prescribe aromatase inhibitors to reduce the estrogen levels, which will improve the testo levels and you would be back in form. Do also regular exercise and concentrate on healthy food, may be you could reduce on beer?
