I'm a 40 year victim of puberphonia. I've posted my story at http://www.puberphonia.info
There is hope. There is a cure. You just have to find the right doctor.
You are doing what you can with your doctor's help and advice. Keep in touch with him or her to monitor your vocal situation. On the plus side, you are a married man of 41 years. You, no doubt, have accomplished many things so far in your lifetime. Each one of us is unique. We have to accept what Nature has given us, unless a change can be made, which you are attempting to do. Continue to think of the successes in your life, do not compare yourself so strongly to other men, and know that while your voice is not as you desire, it is still a voice that can help you accomplish a great many more things until such time it changes.
