Hi, im 15 years old and think i have a problem with my breasts

Im 15, and have ( i would say) larger thann normal breasts. Most kids my age have almost no breast size at all. Im embarrassed to take my shirt off because im afraid i will get picked on. This started around 2 years ago i would say maybe a little less. Ive heard it will go away but im starting to have my doubts. Im willing to do anything, i heard cardio workouts helps reduce size so i started running and exercising better. I weigh 135 pounds and have abs so i am not overweight. Please help if u can. Message me for more info or if your going through the same thing and want to discuss it. Thank You

Thanks for clarifying, I usually check the profile but I guess I just followed the first poster's lead.  :)  I think solace gave you a lot of good information.  Reduce the fat in your diet if there is a lot of fast food (it's a good incentive to learn what's in it  -- you'd be amazed) and exercise, for sure, and talk with your doc if you feel you stand out among kids your age in this regard.  But also, things will naturally improve in the next few years.  (I know, small comfort right now.)  There are a lot of conditions that get worse with time, at least this is one of those that gets better.  Good luck.

Hi,
It is very common for boys of your age (about 65%) to have some breast development, which would get converted to muscles and get covered by hairs as you complete puberty by the age of 18 to 20 years. The condition is known as Gynecomastia, and you can Google to get more info on this developmental process. Mostly it is a self awareness problem and others may not notice at all as it is a common characteristic of most of the pubertal boys. During the growth spurt in boys, most of the testosterone produced by the body is converted to estrogen which triggers the high rate of metabolism and the resultant body growth. In other words, the growth process during puberty in boys and girls is mainly mediated by estrogen. In later years, there is a period of 'strength spurt' in boys, where the testo levels far exceeds  the estrogen levels and most of the fat tissues get converted into muscle tissues and gives the young boys the manly outlook.
After reading various articles on gynecomastia and viewing images there of online, if you still feel that your breast development is very large, you should talk to a pediatric endocrinologist, who after checking your hormone levels may advise some remedial measures if required. Do not get very much embarrassed about all these, as these are all quite common developmental aspects of one's life and you are not alone.

Doing exercise will help for faster muscle development, so some moderate exercising may be done. Also stay away from fast food and keep an eye on your fat intake.

Trying to reduce body fat is one way, and another is to wear a minimizing bra, like a jogbra or sports bra, or just a bra made for larger breasted girls.  It is too bad if you get picked on for something you can't help, especially since most of that (if it comes from girls) is because they are jealous.  So many are worried because they have the opposite problem.  Wearing a good bra helps a really lot.  Get fitted by a saleswoman who really knows what she is doing, she should measure you under the bustline for the rib cage measurement, and then at the bustline for the cup size.  Good luck!

You might be a big girl. Since you are still young you can still get rid of that for having a bigger breast. I guess regular exercise will be a big help for you to lessen the size.
