so pissed off right now. the pharmacist was supposed to have my antibiotic ready in liquid form today. They couldnt get it. GRRRRR.
Will be ready by the end of the day. =P
I honestly believe it could be either urethritis or prostatitis. Prostatitis can be from too much ejaculating. One of my symptoms has been a feeling of pressure in between my anus and balls. Today this has felt much better and also today I have had less urine frequency. Either way, the antibiotic my dr. Prescribed which I start tomorrow, will take care of either one of these. :)
That is good that you trust your doctor, but do remember that a urologist specialises in these types of problems and can also carry out investigatory examinations that your doctor will no be able to do.
Hope all your problems settle down soon and if you do encounter any problems after taking the antibiotics, go back and see your doctor again, which I have no doubt that you will.
As a precautionary measure, it may be a good idea to refrain from sexual pleasures until you are well.
Best wishes an a speedy recovery.
Thanks again for writing. I trust my doctor. And since this happened after anal sex with my wife, its sure possible. And urethritis will not show up on a pee test. I've been seeing my Dr. Forever and I highly trust him. He assured me it was nothing serious. Im going to start the antibiotic tomorrow and if my issue is not cleared up by then then I will see an ufologist. But I have faith this will clear it up. :)
Well your urine analysis shows no signs of any bacterial infection.
This test does not test for fungal infections. And with practicing anal unprotective sex it is highly probable that you may have or have had a fungal problem. Swabs are usually taken to analyse fungal problems on the skin. I don't know about other tests for fungal problems, but may be blood tests (?).
If you still continue to experience the problems you should be referred to a urologist who can do an exploratory investigation by inserting a thin camera up the urethral opening. This is carried by local anaesthetic to numb the area and you would be away throughout the procedure.
I was doing more research on urethritis, and it also said Urinalysis is not a useful test in patients with urethritis. So that could be why I'm showing up clear all the time. It also said men can get it from having anal sex with their wife or whomever b/c of possible ecoli getting in there. =( I've had anal sex with my wife for years without a condom and never had this, but I guess it CAN happen.
I slept better last night without having to get up an urinate but once this morning at 7am or so. Then I went back to bed and woke up at 12pm. I was tired. lol. And so far this morning I have no urge to urinate a lot. But it usually hits me more in the evenings.
Thanks again for writing. He checked my prostate a week ago and said it felt healthy and completely normal.
My symptoms have been on and off the past few days, but it's a frequent urge to urinate, especially at night. It's a feeling that I have to go again, but I know it's not a lot, but it feels uncomfortable if I have to hold it. So when I go I push and it just dribbles out. I then leak a lot in my boxer-briefs, like the urine sometimes gets trapped in my urethra. So I have to Milk it out sometimes if you will. Super annoying. I've NEVER had this problem before. I'm not diabetic either. Could this ALL be just anxiety??? I do have a major history of anxiety.
I just received an email today from my Dr. with his diagnosis.

bladder and urinary tract infections normally do show up on the urine dip stick test. If not, it is better to get a urine sample to be sent off to the laboratory for more specific analysis and a more accurate result.
Getting up a lot during the night to pee, can be from drinking too much before going to bed, having a prostate problem or having diabetes.
Going for a pee a lot, especially at night can result if you eat a lot of sugary foods if you do have diabetes.
If things settle down before you start to take an antibiotic, it may be better for you not to start taking it. Antibiotics can bring on fungal problems like Thrush.
Should you take the antibiotics and your symptoms persist, it would be a good idea to get your prostate checked out (by physical examination and blood test) and have a HBA1C blood test done (or glucose intolerance test) to check out any possibility of diabetes or insulin resistance.
Best wishes.
Thanks for writing. I had to go back to the Dr. on Friday because Thursday night I was up til 3am peeing every 5 minutes. He checked my urine again and said no infection was present but he said that I could have a small bladder infection or inflammation. So he is starting me on an antibiotic on Monday. Hope it stops it all. :)
I agree that you should leave "Percy" alone until he is well healed before attempting any sexual pleasures.
When you do start to have sex again, just take things slowly and take it from there. Should the problem still continue they you should get back to the doctor for referral to a urologist.
If you did not use protection having anal sex, do observe any signs in you and your wife of any fungal and/or bacterial infections. Signs to watch for are itchiness, soreness or white (or discoloured) discharge.
Best wishes.
Your common sense approach seems to be okay. when the doctor has not found wrong with prostate and other parts, you should be okay with total rest.If erection becomes a problem, do slow and deep abdominal breathing to calm your excrement.
