STD Results came back negative, but penile irritation remains?

Backstory:

I had unprotected sex with a female outside of my relationship. 2-3 days later I felt itching/burning sensations so I freaked out. I mentioned this to the female I had the encounter with and told her that if she were tested it would ease my anxiety. She was and her results came back negative. I still got tested 15 days after our encounter and my results were negative as well. Both were for Gino/chlamydia. Fast forward about 40 days later and I still have these sensations. They’re off and on and there’s no discharge. I also have slight sensitivity in my lower abdomen/waist area. Any answers? Thank you

If you were only tested for Gino/Chlamydia I would suggest getting a full std test panel done (urine + bloodwork). I very recently was put into a similar circumstance and am still trying to figure out exactly what is happening but I’m convinced it’s viral so I’m waiting it out to have more blood work done to narrow the possibilities. It sounds like you’re to the two month mark since the exposure so you could get tested now but I would wait another month to ensure the results are reliable.
