Symptoms of what?

I am a bi male, not sure if that has anything to do with what i need to ask, i always practice safesex and I don't get with men very often. About a year ago I started having pain in the crease of my legs where your underwear rub when you walk. It would come and go and it still does today. I have recently noticed that when this happens I have what feels like an artery in my groin area that runs feom my scrotum to my inner leg that is inflamed, swelled and raised. Any idea what could be causing this? i have been tested for hiv and gonorrhea and chlamydia recently and i'm negative for all of those.I have also had lower back pain it seems when this flares up. I'm also have hypothyroidism if that makes any difference. One other symptom and i have brought this up to my doctor is my face and ears will get burning hot and the rest of my body will be cool. I take my temperature and it is normal but my face ears and neck turn beat red and it gets very warm, hot actually. Would just like another persons opinion, my doctor seems dumbfounded by all of this.

Hi P, If you google the side effects of synthriod, you will find that hot flushs are one of them, along with loads of other stuff, but you will need to read through a couple of them,
So see if your doctor can change your drugs to something else, there may be something else that will suit you best.

I don't drink or take drugs. Only thing I take is synthroid everyday.

Hi P, things you may like to look up are hormone imbalence, stress and anxiety, or could be things your eating or drinking, think alcohol or the last one.
These may help send you in the right direction, you need to think on these and put them together when you get these hot spots.

I was hoping to have more than one person commenting and was really hoping a health professional would reply.

The face, ears and neck turning red sounds like a hot flash.  In women, those are often hormonally induced.  It could be thyroid related, or maybe your hormones are fluctuating?

Regarding the artery in the groin that seems inflamed, swelled or raised, it might be something like a hernia, pulled muscle, inflamed nerve or something like sciatica?  I get this thing in my neck that seems like an inflamed blood vessel, but my doctor told me that it was a nerve giving me that feeling.  Is there no way to go to a doctor when the problem is happening and have the doc feel it?  I also know someone with spinal stenosis that has a similar set of symptoms, not in the groin though.

Sorry none of these are definitive, I'm just tossing out suggestions.  You might need to go to a different kind of doctor for each problem.
