tinea.... help

Hello, I have been diagnosed with jock itch at the top of my leg. I am currently treating the rash with Clotmirazone and another prescription anti-fungal cream with seriods in and have been treating it for 5 days now.

I am about to go on vacation and I wanted to know if it was ok if i can go swimming with it. It is being treated and it will be covered up. Is this ok?

Many Thanks

Are you concerned about getting further fungi or spreading the one you have?

Where will you be swimming?  In a chlorinated pool?  I don't think you would be at any risk of receiving any further fungus or spreading it either.  In a lake or river?  If the water is cold, you'll probably not have any problem.  If warmer water, there could be other fungi there, so it might impede healing or you could even pick up something that makes the condition worse.

My guess is that you will be fine, after as much treatment as you will have given the fungus before you arrive.

Hi, I live in Greece and my saltwater pool temp has gone up in the last few days, its been up to 46 out here and we live near Kalamata, and looks like it will be that way for a few days to come, but then if your from the UK thats what you are coming here for the sun.
Good luck when your in Greece, and dont let them overcharge you.

Hi,

Am worried about it spreading the current fungi around my leg and to other people. The pool will be outside at my hotel in greece that i have booked. The river will be cold i presume. It is a saltwater pool.
