Hi,
I must object here.
1000 mg of Vit C is the absolute top limit that you can take on your own discretion, in a normal environment.
You could practically take it on a daily basis but this would have severe consequences on your kidneys.
So the advice is "better safe than sorry" 1000 mg is only if you are sick and need a boost.

Over 1000 mg, you can take in a hospital environment where doctors can pump you up with liquid thrum an IV.

Please ooo please be advised that in most cases hypervitaminosis is irreversible and mostly have a lethal outcome.
(this however occurs over longer periods - week or month)

The answer depends upon your weight.

The problem with high doses of vitamin C is that it is a mild diuretic and irritates the bowel. Too much will cause excess bowel movements and dehydration. When taking vitamin C supplements the important thing is to drink lots of fluids.

Dehydration can cause problems in the elderly, and increase the probability of a stroke from a clot.

1000 mg of vitamin C is not too high to take on a daily basis, provided you drink two liters of fluid every day.

The crystaline form is best because it dissolves easily.
