am needing some advice,around my temporal muscle i get this ache that comes for 1-5 or so seconds and then goes and may come back anytime from 1 minute to 20 to an hour, really whenever it wants to,this usually happens for a few



weeks at least and then goes away for ages,last time was a year or so ago,i have had tests done to make sure it was

Yes. Every bit of what u described can be attributed to tmj. U need to get a mouth guard to sleep in. It will take a few weeks but then u should start to notice improvements. Always wear the guard at night. If u skip even one night it can cause a flair up that will take days to calm back down again.

Also, no biting/chewing hard things like candy or ice. And no gum!

sorry my son messed with my lap top and accidentally posted twice and did it before i was finished...so the test was to make sure that it wasn't temporal arteritis...i also have a problem with jaw clicking when i open my mouth wide...the spot where it hurts is the muscle that moves when i open my mouth, i have also been clenching down my jaw lately...i do have sinus problems too and i have a deviated septum and enlarged turbinates which cause my nose to feel blocked a lot.i do have tinnitus as well,wondering if it all could be related to my tmj. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
