I do get migraines quite often. Not sure about that inner ear issue. I do have a follow up coming up next month with the Neurologist. When I called them about the dizziness the Nurse asked me about Vertigo? I started looking in to it and it points towards MS. I was told my my Neurologist after having been hospitalized and much testing that I have a seizure disorder and possible MS. The dizziness, eye pain and increase migraines are new symptoms that are driving me crazy.
Another thing that I'm learning is a factor for myself is how tight my muscles across my shoulders get. The tighter the muscles, the more often I get the migraines.
Speaking of the inner ear: Do you have environmental allergies? Even hayfever can involve the inner ear. Allergies can actually be an aggravating factor for having fluid on the ears. This isn't an ear infection, but it might feel like the same pain. Closely related to this is another common issue with the jaw. Specifically the TMJ (Temporal Mandibular Joint). When people say they "have TMJ" I feel like correcting them, because we all have a TMJ, because that is the joint that connects the lower jaw to the rest of the skull. Problems with the TMJ can definitely aggravate headache and migraine issues--and the pain can actually be difficult to differentiate from anything going on with the inner ear. An easy way to figure out if you possibly have issues with the TMJ, which is actually more correctly called TMJ Dysfunction, is to moderately press on the joint right in front of your ears. If there is tenderness and/or pain, you probably have some amount of TMJ Dysfunction. Like I said, TMJ Dysfunction is actually rather common.
Fortunately, chiropractic care can help with all of these issues to some degree. Aligning the spine and the TMJ (if there is an issue in the TMJ) will have a positive affect on the inner ear, even if you have fluid on the ears caused by allergies. This is because the alignment helps make a better escape route for this excess fluid the body makes in response to allergies.
Hopefully, this information is helpful for you to discover the cause of your discomfort.
