Also, to kinda describe the headaches:
They're always in the lower back of my head/top of neck and kinda radiates up and out. My neck is often stiff and PT exercises do help a little with the stiffness, but not with pain. The pain in my head is not a throbbing, but more of pressure, like my brain feels like it's trying to push out of my skull. When the headaches are moderate to severe I have a lot of mental confusion and have trouble "finding words" when I talk. This just pisses me off because I'm only 33 and I've NEVER had problems focusing. In the past I could pay attention to two people talking to me while the dishwasher was going and the tv was on (for example). Now, god forbid you talk to me when there's ANY background noise, I can't follow/comprehend what you're saying.
Just tired of being in pain, and do NOT like the thought of having to take pills for the rest of my life!

HI sonia...sounds like chiari related issues and u do have chiari right?
There is a condition nystagmus...and vertigo is common with chiari as well.
I am not sure if u have been to a chiari specialist yet, but may be where u need to look next.
Good luck

I have many of the same symptoms... Have you started taking any new medicines?? I have suffered from migraine headaches for a long time but they began to change a while back, started getting stiff in my neck and should area, couldn't bare to look at anything felt like I was on a boat with everything moving, my ears had a very slight dull ring to them and it all drove me absolutely crazy.. Could not function thought I was losing my mind.. When I would stand up I would get light headed and dizzy GRRRR..... So I gave up and laid in bed for weeks..Which was horrible. I'm a mother of 3 so it's like they where taking care of me...And the noise thing I so understand my daughter would be watching tv in the bedroom and if someone was talking at the same time I couldn't take it.. I had to have silence and no confusion....
Went to doctors did Cat scan said everything looked great said sometimes sinus infections can cause vertigo symptoms if left untreated for to long.. Also said it could be a middle ear infection... So he put me on antibiotics NONE of it helped then when I was so sick I couldn't take it and I couldn't get out of bed to get my acne pill for about two weeks I started feeling better.... AHHHH The relief was awesome so when I felt better I thought I am glad that virus has passed and I immediately took my acne pill I had missed for two weeks and within 20 minutes my ears where ringing and I was on a boat all over again..
The whole time I was clearing my acne I was also killing my self slowly with that dang pill...
I still have headaches REALLY horrible ones.. and they seem to cause me alot of neck stiffness and I still do get ear ringing and some eye problems but that not as near as bad...
I hope you find an answer if you do let me know..
Here is another thought;
Sometimes after an ear infection or a viral infection crystals form in the inner ear. This is a condition called Benign Positional Vertigo BPV or BPPV. It causes some of the symptoms you are describing. Try seeing an Ear Nose and Throat Doctor (ENT). The treatment for BPV is some pretty easy manuevers on a table to move the crystals to a place where they won't make your brain think you are moving when you are not.
You need to see a vestibular therapist who can test you for BPPV or weak inner ear nerves.
