5-month headache

i am a 36 year old female. 5 months ago, i was diagnosed with a pinched occipital nerve by my neurologist (i have suffered from migraines for almost 20 years) i have constant pain in the back of the left side of my head that sometimes radiates to the frond behind and above my left eye.  i have tried chiropractor, acupuncture, massage, cervical traction, steroids, various pain meds, but nothing seems to relieve the pain.  i even quit my job as a chef after being told that the constant "looking down" movement of my head was a contributing factor.  the pain  intensifies when i read (even if i'm not changing the position of my head and neck). For the last week, i've had a ringing in my ears--i constantly feel as though i've just walked out of a rock concert, sometimes with both a low and higher tone. my neurologist has not suggested any mri etc, and while i've always liked her, this seems strange to me.  being in constant, mostly severe, debilitating pain, is starting to take its toll on my life and happiness.  any suggestions?
thanks

Hi,
I would suggest you to consult an ENT specialist to find out the reason for ringing in your ears.

Do this breathing twice everyday and it will help you.
Anulom Vilom - Deep Breath-in through left nostril keeping right nostril closed
then - Breath-out through right nostril keeping left nostril closed
then -Deep Breath-in through right nostril keeping left nostril closed
then - Breath-out through left nostril keeping right nostril closed
and repeat this cycle for upto 20  minutes twice a day(maximum 60 min/day)
You will start to feel the benefit after a week. If you like this then I will post a few more breathing exercises. Do come back to the forum to check other posts.
Anyone with a simple headache will improve the same day.
