Sharp pain in the side of my head after car accident.

Two weeks ago my friend's car was T-Boned. I was sitting in the back middle seat with my head resting on my boyfriend's shoulder half asleep when the car hit us. Due to the impact I flew forward hitting my head on the passenger side seat. I felt the pain in my neck immediately and everything felt "dream like" as if i wasn't really there mentally if that makes sense (this "dream like" state lasted for two days). I went to the hospital a few hours later where they checked my neck and told me that I have a pinched nerve which is the cause of my arm numbness. When I asked if she was going to check my head the doctor told me since four hours passed and nothing has happened to me yet I shouldn't worry, she just prescribed pain killers.  What worries me is that I have this sharp stabbing pain on the same side of my head that I hit in the accident and it won't go away at all. Not only that but I sometimes feel really light headed like I'm going to pass out but I quickly snap out of it when I feel like I'm about to fall. Does anyone know why I might be experiencing this pain? Should I be worried? Thanks for the help!
