Hi,
Thanks for the update. You can ask for MRI or MRA request or referral from your attending physician. If your present medication is not helping, inform your doctor for a change of dosage or medication. The obstruction from your vision may be from increased pressure or from neurological issues as well. You may benefit from further evaluation by a neuro-opthalmologist to rule out neurological causes. Take care and do keep us posted.
Ty for taking the time to talk to me about it, yeah so far the O.N. has been ruled out, but the last but that i had was horrid!!!! How do i go about getting those imaging things done (are you talking about an MRI or something else) My blood work always seems to be normal no matter what it is tested for (seems screwy that i am having all the other issues as well and everything is normal, with MS like symptoms).
If you have the chance my vision is having areas in them and not sure what they are but it is like the static from the old t.v. but is is not just a flahing dot here and there it is an obstruction of a part of my vision that looks like that, can be a C in shape that is either just a C or it can be filled in on parts of the C. Is there anything i can ask them about this?
Hi,
How are you? Cluster headaches may also present with pain in the eye, sometime tearing of the eye, nose congestion, and flushing of face. The pain frequently develops during sleep and may last for several hours. If optic neuritis was ruled out, it is best that you have further evaluation for this. Diagnostic tests including blood and imaging studies may also help. Take care and regards.
Ok, I did go to see the eye doctor. This is not optic Nueritis but they have no idea what it is that is causing the eye pain, I had to move the Specialist to april, 11. :(
I will let you know about that if you would like but that is as much as I know for now, I did have another headache after that one that was on one side for 1 day and then the other for three days then whole head for another 3 days (it sucked a 7 day headache) that cause eye lids to twitch the lower left and the upper right eyelids. the lower left stopped the next day ad the upper right still twitches but not as often (slowly subsiding).
When i get to the Nuero Ms Specialist i will let you know what if anything i find out.
Will do! I go to see the eye doctor on friday they are going to do my eye exam, as well as Optic Nueritis checks (this is the same doctor that diag. my Horners syndrome after a quack refused to see me as more than a quick paycheck) so I will let you know what they find and what they say on that then on the 2nd of february as I mentioned before i go to the specialist and I will tell you more if I have anything else to report. Thank you for your response to my question as I have many more symptoms than this going on I am not sure if they are all related or if (like to the question above, just a Migraine). Ty again and will post when i have more news!
Since you are being evaluated for ms, be sure to mention this to your dr. My understanding is that it can be a symptom for ms sufferers as well. I have not been diagnosed with ms, just atypical migraine. I know many kinds of migraine can cause eye pain as well.
Please post about what you find out at your dr appt.
