Long Lastig Headache

My Husband gest long lasting, fast coming bad bad headaches,- just over his left eye, and seems to be the whole side of his face. I rub his neck and back, for an hour or so, it's help a little. But, it's a continuing pain. We know the Doctors will just give him pain meds, we don't want that, we want to know what it is and why?

Hi and welcome to the Migraines & Headaches Community.

Sounds like an ocular migraine. I get them behind my right eye frequently. If he doesn't want any pain meds then just about the only thing I can suggest is an ice pack.
Migraines can last from minutes to hours to days. So, don't be alarmed at its length. If it lasts more than 7 days then he probably should see a doctor. Otherwise try the ice pack and maybe at least some Excedrin, it is OTC and is a combo of Tylenol, Aspirin and Caffeine which is an excellent combo.
Keep us posted please!
