Out of Options!! And Frustrated!!

I've had chronic migraines my whole life for as long as I can remember and I am 22 years old. We have tried a ton of different shots, pills and liquid medications and treatment for my chronic ongoing migraines, and over all the years I am still unclear on causes and what else to try, I feel like I am crying out for help, I feel like I have tried everything and am out of options!! At this point in time whenever a migraine comes on I have to go to the Emergency Room, and I am well known there, I get a shot of Zofran for nausea and a shot of either Demerol or Morphine, but it happens so often that I am unclear on the aftereffects and I am breastfeeding so what harm is it doing to my new baby?? I guess I just don't know what to do anymore!!

How are you? Selma has raised some important points. Imaging modalities such as CTscan or MRI will help rule out pathology or secondary headaches. Morphine is usually  excreted into human milk in trace amounts and adverse effects in the nursing infant are unlikely. Morphine is considered compatible with breast-feeding by the American Academy of Pediatrics. (ref: http://www.drugs.com/pregnancy/morphine.html#ixzz0vbMEgeUz). Aside from medications, another option is complementary and alternative medicine including biofeedback techniques. Check with your doctor or neurologist for proper management. Hi...I am so sorry u r dealing with this pain, I can relate as I too have had HA's my whole life and know how frustrating it can be.
May I ask, have u ever had a brain MRI or one of ur cervical spine?...were u ever in a MVA or had a fall?

Has ur pain gotten worse since having ur child?

Sorry for asking u more questions, but it helps to narrow down what may be going on.
