Numbness on left side of Head & Pressure in Left Ear

Hi, I've been experiencing numbness (left side of brain and side of face) and some pressure in left ear (ocassionally) for about 2 months now. Numbness comes and goes. I've stopped taking all medications except Pulmicort and Bricanyl. I was Using a NetiPot twice and day, on Domperidone, vitamin E, D, Glucosamine and Estrosense. I think numbness only started when I took a sublingual B12 vitamin. Since then, I have not touched and vitamins.  No Pharmacists or Doctors can tell me what's wrong. Does anyone have a clue why I have the numbness?

How are you?  It is good that Bell's palsy may be ruled out from the differentials. Discuss and review your present medications with your regular doctor. Change of medicine may also be indicated to rule out any possible side effects. Blood testing your hormones and neurological examination may also help rule out hormonal andnerve problems as well.  Take care always. Best regards.

Hi,
I haven't had my hormones checked. I might be B12 defecient, that's why I tried to start taking B12. It's supposed to help with Hiatel Hernia and I have Gastroperesis. The Estrosense I was taking was for Fibroids. I think I have too much estrogen! Should I be asking my regular doc about the hormones or my obgyn?

Thanks for your response. I looked up Bell's Palsy, but I don't have the symptoms of my face  drooping on one side. It's just a numbness  and ocassional pain only on one side of my head and face. I do have a cyst in the center of my eye, but the doc says only if my eye sight is effected, that I should worry about the cyst.

Have you had your hormones checked? i have the same problems and they started after my total hysterectomy and now im in menopause...you might be low on estrogen, as well as other hormones.

How are you? The numbness on your head and face maybe due to Bell's palsy, complex migraines and other neurological issues. In Bell's palsy, the muscles in your face become temporarily paralyzed. It usually affects just one side of the face. If it persists, have this evaluated further for proper management. Direct clinical examination and complete neurological examination will rule out any nerve-problems or infection. Take care and do keep us posted.
