Headaches

Hi. Just trying to get a little insight on this. Hoping someone can help me out a little. My husband NEVER EVER get headaches which I am very jealous about concidering I get Migrains. Lately within the last two months he has been getting real bad headaches. so bad he is sleeping a lot more. Vision is off and getting somewhat nauses. (sorry about the spelling) Last night he just noticed a lump on the back of his head above his hair line in the middle like he has fell or hit his head. He has NOT! He said it is tender and after looking at it myself it is noticeable to me without rubbing his head. I am very concerned about this. Can someone give me some insight on what it might be and some questions I need to ask to make sure the doctors do what I need them to do for my husband. Thank you so much for any insight.

Get your husband to a doctor. We sre NOT professionals. If you cant, mgo to the energency room when he is suffering from a headache. Not to scare you,  dont mess eith lumps. Good luck.

Hey Stacie,

I would definitely get into his primary MD to see what his/her opinion may be. I would imagine a med trial of something for migraines may a possibility like Imitrex. As far as his head lump goes... No idea but please keep us posted as to what his doc thinks.

If headaches get worse or don't seem to be getting better. You can always ask your MD for a Neurology referral since neurologists are the best at handling headaches. But I would guess your husbands MD would likely try a few different meds before referring on to Neuro.

What kind of headache is your hubby having. Is it one-sided like only half of his head, worsened by lights or noises, any zigzagging lines in his vision (I know you said his vision was already blurred), auras before he gets a headache, do they come in clusters, etc. I'm no expert by any stretch but these are a few things to think about before going to his MD.

Hope this helps a little.
