Just as hope4good stated you are probably experiencing withdrawal from the butalbital. Not only was your doctor wrong for stopping it so suddenly without a plan to help you, he/she was negligent to have prescribed the amount that enabled you to take it so often. If you're not already, you might also start having rebound headaches, caused by taking pain meds greater than 3-4 times per week. This happened to me. My neuro gave me a short cycle of steroids to break the rebound effect. But you need to he watched for possible seizures.

I was on fioricet 3 and it is dangerous to get off of on your own because there is a chance of having a seizure. Talk to your dr or call a rehab clinic because you really don't want to do this by yourself. I went to detox when I quit that way they could watch over me & give me the help I needed to get through withdrawals. Good luck to you.  Please keep us posted.
