My Doctor put me on a medication called Lyrica, and ordered more test, I am to have a bone scan, and an ultrasound on my legs all this next week. Today I am having a bad day do you think it could be adjusting to the medication, I am on 50mg once a day?
Hi,
First I want to thank you for being so kind and corresponding with me. I finally saw my regular Dr. today, and saw all my reports. I have a tiny apparent outpouching arising from the proximal supraclinoid ICA, and no aneurysm. Also I have a questional tiny Arachnoid cyst at the posterior medial corner of the left cerebellar hemisphere.
Just wanted to let you know what the test said.
Hi, I am 39 yrs old and I have been told by my Doctor in 2004 that I have several spots on the white matter of my brain. I have migrains and was put on Topamax to help control them. I am now experiencing numbness and tingling in my hands and legs and feet. This has gotten worse over the past year. I am in alot of stress from a divorce that is not over. I am having numbness on my back now and thighs. I had another MRI which stated possible ms or migrains had changed. Please help!
Hi,
How are you?
Since your angiogram is normal, I think the possibility of an aneurysm is ruled out completely.
As far as your symptoms of head tremors and pains are concerned, I feel they can be the result of all the stress that you have been exposed to recently.
Please relax, go back to your normal routine, eat well, exercise and sleep well and hopefully your symptoms will subside.
Take care!
HI,
I am back, I went today to the Neurologist for results from the angiogram, and I was very dissappointed, he spent all of 5 to 10 minutes with me, and told me that the test showed no aneurysm, I am thrilled about that, but he never answered any of my questions, he just told me and my husband if I had a severe headache to take me to the E.R. imediatly. My tremors is still here, when I turn my head to the left or back to drink, my head trembles or shakes, I also still have strange sensations in my head and occasional pains. He didn't say anything about further tests.
What would you suggest I do?
The first radiologist that did the MRA was wrong. But I am not just making up these things that are happening to me.
Hi,
It is a good sign that you do not have aneurysm. Small aneurysms are difficult to visualize. It may have just been an artifact as even the radiologist did not think it was there.
An angiogram is used to visualize the blood flow in the blood vessels and will not give information about anything else. It is useful in diagnosing stroke, cerebral thrombosis and aneurysms.

Hope this helps!
Thanks for answering me. The Neurosurgeon called me and said that I didn't have an aneurysm, so I did not have to worry, but to keep my appointment next week. I am very relieved, but at the same time curious why the MRA said that I did and I really don't.
I also would like to know what kind of questions I should ask when I do see him, any suggestions would be appreciated. It has took longer than I thought to get over having the angiogram. Also would the angiogram show up anything except what is in the blood vessels?

Hi,
Severe headaches can be due to the aneurysm. An angiogram definitely will be helpful in your case as it will show the exact location and size of aneurysm.
Meanwhile I would suggest you to go to the ER immediately if you have terrible headaches, with vomiting, blurry vision and loss of consciousness.
Do let us know after you see your neurologist.
Hi,
Thanks for answering my post. You asked how I was, well I have a history of bad Migranes, but now am not having many but other kind of headaches, I have sharp pains all of a sudden that do not last long, but almost can take you to your knees, also strange sensations in my head. I also have sometimes tremors of the head, and tingling or stinging sensations in my legs and arms. I know this sounds strange, but it is so different for me. I called today to get my Neurologist opinion of the angiogram and was told that they could not tell me anything that I would have to wait until my appointment on the 16th of this month.

Hi,
How are you?
It is important to correlate the findings of your MRI and MRA with your clinical symptoms. Please elaborate on your symptoms.
Aneurysms if small usually are asymptomatic. Large aneurysms can cause headaches, dizziness and vomiting. Usually these symptoms worsen when the aneurysm is about to rupture.
Without looking at your report it is difficult to tell if there is an aneurysm or not. I would suggest you to follow the advice of your neurologist to be on the safe side.
