Hi waz911,
How are you? An aura is a syndrome of transient neurological disturbances that can precede the migraine attack. Its main features are visual disturbances, bright, shining flashes, partial loss of vision, dimming or blurring of vision. Other symptoms include sensation of numbness or tingling in the arms which you are experiencing. Generally, aura occurs 10 to 30 minutes before the onset of the migraine attack.
Migraine usually begins with intense, throbbing pain on one side of the head. It starts in the area around the eye, and then spreads to the temple and the forehead. Movement increases the pain, and rest relieves it. Other symptoms associated with migraine are nausea, vomiting, lack of appetite, sensitivity to light or sound , chills, pallor and visual disturbances.
You can take pain-relieving drugs such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others) or aspirin, may help relieve mild migraines as soon as you experience its signs or symptoms. It may help if you rest or sleep in a dark room after taking the medications.
thanks for your help rowena
