The pranayam (breathing exercises) did help and will also help with the brain problem.
It helps the body to heal itself. There is no side effects. It is your decision to do what makes you better.

i ment to respond to you earlier but i kept forgetting. They tried breathing techniques pretty close to what you described at the last headache clinic they sent me to and it did help a little. But for some reason since  they found out that i was having brain seizers they advised me to stop and not continue to do the breathing techniques.

The breathing techniques I described, can be easily done by you.Try it while you are waiting for further medical help, and you will feel better. While you concentrate on the breathing, the mind will relax. The benefits will be felt over longer term.

Sarah,
I have tried Acupuncture a couple of  years ago and it did not help much with my headaches. It eased it up a little but not much. That is about the way everything has worked. Some things that they have done has eased up the headache and others didn't help at all. BUT NOTHING HAS GOT THE HEADACHE TO GO AWAY NOT EVEN FOR A DAY. NOT EVEN THE ACUPUNCTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And by the way your message sounded a little rude.

Hi,

Good to hear from you. Your case need further assessment as I have mentioned in my earlier posts. In rare cases, pineal cysts may be symptomatic and do cause neurologic symptoms. In your case, with a large pineal cyst this seems to be the focus of the problem. It is not safe for you to travel alone if this is the case. I suggest that you have someone with you when you seek consult as you may black out or have a seizure on your way for a consultation. Are you taking anything fo the seizures?Bring a copy of all your results and scans with you. This is important as a reference for your next consult.

Hoping that yiu will finally get proper management for this.Do keep us posted.

so....TRY ACUPUNCTURE!!!
you tried everything else, so give this a try. It's NON-invasive, is worked for me and millions of other people (not including the billions of people in CHINA). So, you rather pop drugs into your body, spend thousands of dollars on tests that don't seem to find the cause, and just cross your fingers for a miracle, when all you have to do is step out of your box and try something that has been proven to work for over 2000 years.

I swear, ignorance holds people back in so many ways it's ridiculous.

Save yourself and do something.

It worked and works!

Another day and still no relief from this headache i had another bad one last night and another seizer but i didn't blackout last night so that is a plus i guess. I had to take my sleeping pills last night just to be able to try and sleep cause my head hurt so bad. Then i got up this morning to get my kids up and ready for school and i set up out of bed and my head started pounding. The pounding has eased up but the headache has not even after my medication. There are things that i need to get done today but i'm not going to be able to because i cant drive with these headaches due to my seizers and blackouts.
This is really driving me insane. it is very deppressing. i am 32 years old and have to have a babysitter most of the time.

Hi everyone, not much has changed here. I still have the headache. I did have another seizer and blackout again Thursday afternoon. I would be so nice to wake up even just one morning without this headache.

Hi,

I suggest you discuss with your physicians your concerns. A referral to a neurosurgeon in larger centers may help. You have mentioned your seizures and blackouts. Was an EEG done? Your seizures need to be properly classified and managed. You may want to consult with a neurologist who specializes on seizures.

Also, please bring all your scans when you consult with your surgeons. This is important .This way they wil be able to properly evaluate your condition.

I hope I can help more.

Yes my last MRI was in 2007 showing the cyst measuring 10 x 12 cm. And yes it sarted out measuring 1.2 x 0.7 cm in 2003.
As the cyst has grown the symptoms that i already had have gotten worse and and new symptoms started.

I'm just lost i don't know what to do anymore. I mean how do you get a Doctor to believe that the cyst is symptomatic when they say pineal cyst don't have symptoms. There are 3 doctors in the practic where i go and the main one i see understands a little had said at one time that i needed surgery and sent me to a neuosurgeon but the neurosurgeon and the 2 other doctors in the practic say pineal cyst don't cause symptoms. So what do i do?

Hi,

Your last MRI was done in late 2007 and showed a 10-12 cm cyst is that right?

If this is correct, your cyst seemed to have progressed rapidly from a
1.2 x.07 cm cyst to one measuring 10x12 cm in 4 years time.Is this correct?

The size of the cyst itself warrants surgical intervention.A large pineal cyst as I have previously posted may compress surrounding structures, blocking cerebrospinal fluid flow and increasing intracranial pressure. Visual symptoms may be experienced, as well as vomiting and  headaches due to the cyst's mass effect. The frequency of your seizures and "black out "spells also need close supervision and follow up.

Please seek immediate referral to a neurosurgeon and do keep your scan reports with you for reference.

You have mentioned that you are from a small town, you may ask your primary physician to refer you to larger centers for a complete work-up.

Be proactive about this and for any doubts ,keep us posted.

You mentioned that you live in a small town, so I don't know what the chances of finding an acupuncturist near you would be, but if you could vist an acupuncturist just 2-3 times and recieve thorough teratments and the acupuncturist gets a full understanding of what your entire condition is like, he/ she can prescribe your herbs that you can take, which are much cheaper, but sooooo helpful and effective for your condition. Herbs work from the inside and they strengthen what needs to be strengthened and remove what needs to be removed. I wish I had a way to explain this medicine to you, but I truly hope that you would keep your mind open and try acupuncture and herbs. It really changes peoples' lives all the time. It's been practiced for over 2000- 3000 years. There's a reason why. try it. it cured many of my conditions.
My mother had uterine cysts that were the size of a softball and it shrunk to half of its size within 1 month of treatment. Luckily, it was a benign cyst so there was no rush, but she decided to just go with surgery because she wanted it completely out of her.

I do NOT want to give you false hopes. everyone is different. Some poeple get quick results while others have to be more patient. But if you prefer a less invasive and a natural approach, try acupuncture. It's healing in so many levels.

These pranayam exercises will help control the headache and the side effects.Build up the timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume later. The benefits will be noticed in weeks.Over the long tern the headache will be in full control and the medicine can be reduced in consultation with the doctor. You will feel better as you can do something about it yourself. Please post your progress so others can benefit as well.Nothing has helped, but pranayam will help.
