vision disturbances

Hey guys so yesterday I had just got done eating when I started to get just a minor headache as I was watching t.v. and I notice that I couldn't see exactly what I was looking it at, it just had a black spot. So I went to check my blood pressure (have heart condition) but it was normal...so it started to get worse and a zig zag silver and black thing was going across both my eyes.. and when I looked at something directly I could still see that object but if there was an object right next to what ever I would look at I was only able to see half of it. Slowly this zig zag thing in my vision slowly made its way up and out of my sight. Where then I got this SERVER pain in my head, eyes and neck . And I would get these pin like needleain sensations
randomly.....and I woke up to the same head pain, just not as intense....I don't know if I explained it correctly but its the best I could do....oh, also few weeks ago, a few times I would experience getting up and everything turning black and id feel dizzy...is this just a bad migrain or is there something wrong with my brain??

Yeah I've had bad headaches and neck pain for a while and never found anything that helps or any causes so I kind of gave up. But than this happened. So I might just go see my GP. Thanks. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something more serious and if anyone else had this happen.

What you experienced was a Migraine with Aura which is what i suffer from! I recommend visiting your GP to inform them that you have started suffering from migraines too see if they have any treatments they can give you, i currently take a tablet as soon as the aura starts and use vapour rubs and sleep till it goes which luckily for me is usually in 24 hours!
