Can a mc permanetly mess up your cycle?

Hey everyone. I was wondering, on April 8th I had a positive hpt, before I went to the doctors I took several more hpts to confirm it but they all came back negative so I havnt bothered to take anymore and just assumed I had a missed miscarraige.
My periods normally began the 28th of each month and last 4 days. I woukd get cramps and sore boobs the day before and then i'd be fine when it was all said and done. I always got heartburn around the 17th which I assumed was ovulation.
Now after the positive test my periods don't start til the 6th. I start getting cramps and sensitive nippies about 2 weeks before my period and I still have cramps for about a week AFTER my period. So i'm practically always crampy. They're just dull cramps though, I also get heartburn still around the time ovulation used to happen but it doesnt go away, i'll have like a day free of heartburn then it comes right back. Also I get really bad lower back pains now, which never really used to bother me. In april on the 2nd I spotted for 2 days, my periods are normally 4 days. My period in May was quite normal but still kinda light enough I still thought I might be pregnant.
So I really don't know that I definatly had a miscarraige but it's really the only thing I can think of, i'm normally quite in touch with whats going on with my body but I have no clue now. I'm still having all the pregnancy symtoms that made me think I was pregnant but i'm about 98% sure i'm not pregnant.
Any thought or advice? It wod be GREATLY appreciated!

Thank you. Also I wanted to say before is that my hcg level took 9 weeks to go back to 0. It caused me to get a positive pregnancy test a little over 2 months after my miscarriage. It was awful. We waited forever it felt like to try again. I know its hard to deal with but once your body is ready you will get pregnant again! And all the pain you went through seems to go away and things start to look better. Wish you the best of luck!

I've been so emotional about the whole thing but it's been 2 months so I guess i'm "getting over it" if you will, it's still a pretty touchy subject with my boyfriend but we're working through it. We both kinda freaked out after the positive test then got excited It's just crazy. Congrats on your baby, and I hope everything goes well for you.

It sounds like you were pregnant at the time. But I am the same way. I was 9 weeks and I miscarried in feb. I always got really sore boobs before my period before I got pregnant. And I always always wanted chocolate. But after my miscarriage when I got my following periods I didn't get sore boobs or want chocolate which is very strange. I guess sometimes a miscarriage can restart your whole cycle. I'm 6 weeks pregnant and finally I have the sore boobs again. Its so strange what your body deals with.
