Could you be referring to a blighted ovum?

A blighted ovum (also known as “anembryonic pregnancy”) happens when a fertilized egg attaches itself to the uterine wall, but the embryo does not develop. Cells develop to form the pregnancy sac, but not the embryo itself. A blighted ovum occurs within the first trimester, often before a woman knows she is pregnant. A high level of chromosome abnormalities usually causes a woman’s body to naturally miscarry.

Hope this helps! And don't let it stress you out too much! Just try to relax and stay positive!! I just had a miscarriage Sept 15th and am also TTC, I'm not sure how far along I was due to irregular cycles, all I know is that I was at least 5 Weeks because that is how long it had been since the last... 'try'... I guess I'd say. But I have been doing tons of research and one thing I have found extremely helpful is watching videos on YouTube of other women who have miscarried. It is great to know I am not alone, and maybe you will feel the same way. Feel free to contact me any time! And good luck to you!! :)
